Adorable graphite pencil drawing ranch scene of a little buck-a-roo giving his calf a hug.
Doesn't grab much cuter than that.
The oak frame is stained grayish tan with gray matting.
Would be remarkable for a child's room in any western home.
Don Greytak was born in 1936 and has lived in Havre entire his life.
He has worn plenty of hats besides that of a pencil/graphite illustrator.
He has been a rancher, a pilot, a designer of horse trailers and a metal sculptor.
He is a self-taught artist who takes his inspiration from the beauty and rusticity of his surroundings in Montana.
His subjects are vast ranging from airplanes, trains, automobiles, to ranching, farming, rodeo and familial scenes.
I have several of his pieces listed in my Mercari browse.
