This was bought as a gift and stopped working after a few days. Lots was done to check out and grab it working again including taking it apart and re-sawdering the connections. As far as I am aware it does not work, even with an Wii controller inserted.
In its current condition it seems favor more of a display piece.

This controller appears to be the same build as the Gene Simmons KISS guitar, but with no branding.
